- ¼ cup mashed overripe banana exactly
- ½ cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 cup light brown sugar packed
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1⅓ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ⅔ cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
Mash banana in a bowl and measure exactly ¼ cup.
Mix banana with oil (or butter), brown sugar, egg yolk, and vanilla until smooth.
Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt. Mix until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop dough onto tray (2 inches apart).
